Melody Hill Music is Rick Millward's publishing company and home studio located a few miles south of Nashville. We started back in 1992 composing soundtracks for videos and commercials, and in 2000 began adding songs to the portfolio.
We've done lots of soundtracks for all kinds of projects, and we've gotten some recognition over the years, most notably for two soundtracks that were done for Nashville PBS affiliate NPT for their series "Tennessee Crossroads". In 2002, and 2004 we were nominated for Southeast Regional EMMY awards, and though we didn't win it was an honor just to be nominated. Currently, Rick spends as much time as he can recording his own songs, and is also on the lookout for other artists he can develop as well using his studio. And of course, there's always pitching to Music Row.
While in Nashville Rick has written and produced over 50 demos of his own songs and has compiled them into albums. The first, in 2006 was ( "homemade"), followed by "I Still Believe"(2008), "Scrapbook"(2011), and "Limited Edition" (2013). |
